DiedrikVermeulen
Diedrik Vermeulen was born in 1984 in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. He graduated in 2006 as a physicist and in 2008 as an engineer from Ghent University. He received the Alcatel-Bell price for his master thesis: "Design and fabrication of a transceiver for Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) Optical Networks". Since 2008, he works in the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University under a specialization grant from the IWT (Institute for the promotion of innovation through science and technology in Flanders) with Dries Van Thourhout and Günther Roelkens as promotors.
